Is this what you expect in the module? If not, can you suggest what other useful topics to be included in CIP, OR what topics should not have been included at all (if any)?

Ans: Yes, basically I think that the syllabus covered is appropriate as most of them are related to computer stuff. Actually I have learn more than what I have expected. Because I thought that CIP is just about computer parts but there are more to that.

Qn: Are the workshops on MS Word, PowerPoint & Macromedia Dream weaver, Flash interesting & useful? Are these appropriate in developing your IT hands-on skills?

Ans: Those workshops on MS Word, PowerPoint and Macromedia Dream weaver and Flash are pretty interesting and useful. Because out there in the working society, especially when I’m studying banking and financial services, basic computer softwares serve an important role in my daily life at work. For now, at least I can use the flash to enhance on my bog. And furthermore, the students in NGEE ann. are not spoon fed therefore able to handle more important stuff in the future independently and being responsible for it.

Qn: Are the PBL problems authentic enough for you to learn better? Does it provide an opportunity for you to work effectively in teams as well as develop problem solving skills?

Ans: Those PBL problems have given me to learn better. Because those 8 problems are not just met by us in our daily routine but also in huge companies. Therefore this gave me a chance to learn more and maybe I can apply it in my future career. Furthermore it provides me an opportunity for mw to work effectively in teams because we know the reason why teamwork is important in doing project. And every bits that our teammates had research, it adds up to a lot of stuff as a whole. We also learn how to be responsible in the work being distributed by our leader. We also develop problem solving skills that can be useful to us. Not only 1 day but everyday, in our daily routine. Because we meet problems everyday and have to solve them quick and fast.

Qn: Are the lecturers and tutors helpful in your learning? Is the class size of 40 a good size for effective learning?

Ans: The lecturers and tutors are helpful in our learning. Because when ever he came across our group, he will pause and read our solutions for a while. If he thinks that it is not well done, he will ask us some questions related to our solutions, and eventually we will came to the perfect solution that is hinted by him. I dun think that a class size of 40 is just good for effective learning because the tutor cannot handle so many pupils at a go and sometimes the noise level just go a bit higher.

Qn: If there is 1 thing that you can change in CIP, what would it be?

Ans: I would like to change the deadline for submission of assignments as well as the way of submission. 1 week of the deadline is just too short and the time limit is difficult to handle for most of us. Because the assignments had many parts to it and sometimes we have to use quite a long time to figure out the solution to it. And the submission through Mel is a bit tough for me. Because I do not have a habit of going into Mel, therefore sometimes I will just miss the deadline and forgot to submit my assignments.

Qn: If there is at least 1 useful thing that you appreciate in CIP, what would it be?

Ans: I would say is the Macromedia Dream weaver and Flash. Because I love learn how to create a website and that is totally new to me.

In the end, thanks Mr. Leong for all the hard works that you had put in for coaching us and excel in CIP!!!

PBL 2

My group had just finish the PBL 2...

CIP

This blog is created specially for CIP.. and this is also the first ever blog created in my lifetime. Because i don't have a habit of posting journal online. Maybe it's because of my bad english standard or i'm just too lazy for it. Anyway..CIP had help me a lot in increasing my knowledge related computer stuffs. And CIP lesson is also quite fun as tt's the only lesson that we can serve the website and sign in to our msn for close to 3 hours. I hope to learn more things related to computer stuffs as this may help me have a better understanding of it. Therefore, i can make use of the things learn in CIP to the working society in about 5 years time. I think that's all i want to write and hope i have the time to update it every week or so.
